FOUNDATION CHILDREN OF SPITUK

The Pegon Institute is located in the remote mountain regions of the Himalayas in north-west India (formerly Tibet). This school falls under the protection of the centuries-old Spituk monastery. It offers care and education for around 50 poor nomad children from 4 to 16 years old. Meeting the basic needs of these children is a tough job for the school management.

That is why the Children of Spituk foundation offers this school financial support for FOOD, HEALTH CARE and EDUCATION. The focus is on cooperation and consultation with the school management. All purchases are made on site, thus stimulating the local economy. In addition, all board members work pro bono. They even pay the travel expenses from their own pocket.

100% TRANSFER OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION INSURED!

Thanks to the foundation, the dormitory, kitchen and shower room have been renovated since 2007. A medical treatment room was also set up and a library project started. The children also received new winter clothing. But much more is needed to guarantee full living conditions in the future.
